Hi,

I am running the 64-bit version of Defender on an XP64 machine. Defender has
installed and worked well for some months, but now gives me an error:

0x80004003: invalid pointer

when I try to do a scan. I have tried updating it to the latest version, it
claims to be the current version.

Does anyone have any ideas?

When you say that you have tried updating to the latest version--what are
the version numbers listed in help, about?

I'd recommend doing a new download and installing over your current version,
if Engel's link hasn't helped.
