I have Defender configured to do a quick scan every day at 3PM when I'm
normally away from the machine. Defender sits minimized in the system
tray.
Today I happened to be using the machine when the scan started and my
app lost focus and no other open window had focus. I then noticed that
the Defender icon in the system tray had switched to the swirly form
that indicates it's doing a scan.
Defender had stolen focus even though it had no open window.
This would be impolite behavior even if it was done by an app that had
an open window, and is even worse when done by one that's minimized.
