Hi,

Enven though I have scheduled a quick scan every day at noon, every time I
start my computer, Windows Defender seems to perform a quick scan, which
slows my computer. Is there a way to prevent a quick scan being done at
startup ?

Thanks

Is your clock and time zone set properly? Defender will do scans shortly
after startup if the scheduled scan has been missed.

My time zone is set to US and Canada East (GMT - 5:00). My scheduled quick
scan is set for noon and I usually start my computer at 8:00 AM. Could it be
that a missed scan on sunday at noon will start on monday as soon as I start
my computer ?

Thanks
