Hi,

Anyone know if when Windows Defender is properly released, will it become
another plug-in to the XP Security Center/Vista equivalent, like Windows
firewall/automatic updates currently is? It would be nice to have all the
security tools in one place!

Ben

Ben;
AFAIK, Microsoft has not stated what the plans are for Windows XP.
But I do not expect integration to the Security Center until SP-3 currently
planned for 2nd half of 2007, more than a year away.
Windows Vista currently has Windows Defender in the Security Center.
And this is what I expected for the last few years long before MSAS/Windows
Defender

Hi

This is a shame, MS has this for sure ready, this is only about
dollars....

I cannot understand the meaning with WD in Vista if UAP
works........!?!?!

http://msdn.microsoft.com/windowsvista/security/

I have played with it and for sure nothing works with UAP on.

So this is strange..........

regards
plun

Thanks Jupiter. I haven't seen the Vista previews (...yet! Keep meaning to
set one up from our TechNet cd). I thought the Security Center would be the
best place for it!

Cheers

Ben
