What version of Windows?
Does Windows Update offer you an optional update to your wireless adapter
driver by any chance?
If it does not, you might consider seeing if a newer driver for the wireless
nic is available from the vendor and installing that.
Additionally: If Web is not working, is email?--do you use pop3 email and
does that work? What about ping? When the web is not working, can you go
to a command prompt and type in "ping www.upenn.edu" and does it respond?
If you start your browser in safe mode--for firefox or IE there are usually
"safe mode" choices if you go through the start menu--that will start the
browser with no add-ons--does it work then?
