How do you reset the default workbook name?

Do you mean the default for Book1, book2, etc? Mine restarts the sequence
when I close and restart Excel.

That's correct - a co-worker has accidentally renamed the default workbook
name so whenever they try to open a second workbook it gives a read only
error message

I don't have time to research this, but I think you'll need to do something
with the default workbook in the XLSTART folder. See what you can find on
that subject.
