Is there any way to control the size and location of the window when a
program starts? On my desktop, the size and location of the windows seems to
change at random every time I start a progam. SOmeone told me it depends on
what size the window was when it was closed for the last time, but that
doesn't work. Now, all of my programs are opening in a small window in the
upper left corner of the desktop. I can maximize them, but I want them to
open at max size from the start.

Use your mouse to drag the sides, top and bottom to what ever size window
you want and then click on File and Close. This works for OE, IE and
Windows Explorer.

Some apps respect the size you choose, some do not.
