Yes - it's generally considered rude to do this, since you do not reset my
favorite browser dimensions back when I leave your site. Also, what if you
set it to a site larger than my screen? Most people just close the site and
leave, I think.

Look at your expected visitors and evaluate what size their BROWSER VIEWPORT
is (it's not really screen size you need to worry about at all). That's the
size you want to use as your optimal design width/height. But - nothing you
can do will ensure that it will look the way it did when you created it
other than to make it into a PDF file. Really. Don't waste another minute
worrying about it. I will come to your site and double the size of my text
display, and your layout will probably go right out the window.

No - there is no practically reliable way to do this. Again, this is the
WEB - it's not print. If you want that kind of control, just mail people a
brochure.
