Default View when inserting attachments

Good Afternoon!
Just recently we have had several users have their default view change when
inserting an attachment in Outlook 2003. When creating a new email and going
to insert the attachment, they are only able to display view as icons. They
are no longer able to display as a list or by details. I cannot find a search
narrow enough to locate if this is a known issue in TechNet. Domain admins on
our network do not seem to have this issue.
Any advice would be appreciated.
