Is there a way to set the default values for viewing the file lists in a
folder when opening files in windows based programs so that the default is
the details setting (shows date modified etc)? I am sick of just seeing the
file list and do not know how to change it.

Hi Bundyroy,

Open a folder or My Computer, then change the view to your preference
(View>Details). Before closing that folder or My Computer, go to
Tools>Folder Options>View tab. Click on the "Apply to All Folders" button,
click on Yes in the Folder Views dialogue box, then click on OK.
