Default text in WordPad ???

Is there any way to change the default text for WordPad ???

If you mean default font, then you can create a document and select the font
you want to use then save that as a template. Next time you start Wordpad,
select the document you created as a template, either by selecting from the
recent documents list or opening it from your saved location.
Alternatively you could save a document on your desktop for example and open
that up and do a save as when you are finished.

On my Vista Home Premium, WordPad program there is not an option to save a
file as a template

I did not mean to literally save as template, but save it and use it like a
template.
