How can I make .rtf files open with a default application, not Word, but
another wordprocessor, Jarte, I have on my computer?
Thanks, CMA

What program opens a particulat file type is controlled by something called
an "association."" You apparently have an association between rtf and Word.
To change it, right-click on any rtf file and choose "Open with. Select the
program you want to use for that file type, check the box "Always use this
program ..." and click OK.
