I have been using front page for my website for a few years. (self taught-no
expert). Now when I go to publish to remote site, the address has extra
stuff (w/e) in it. Something like this:
http://home.provider.com/w/e/website address

If I try to delete the remote site address, it won't really go away. I
tried typing in the correct address. When I get to the screen where I enter
user name and password it won't accept it because it has defaulted to that
bad address with the extra w/e in it. Sometimes I get an extra w/w/e..it
just keeps growing.

I called my internet provider who says there is nothing wrong with my site.
He though maybe I had a spyware issues that changed my address. I scanned.
No virus, no spyware.
He said maybe my file/program is corrupt. How do I determine that? If so
will buying another frontpage software solve the problem (and keep my current
site info if I install it?)

I’d like to publish my website updates and have spent way too much time
going in circles.

Hope this makes sense to someone and you can help. Thanks

Are you re-entering the destination in the publish dialog?

If you mean am I typing it in the area that says Remote website location in
the Remote site properties box? yes I am.

I have highlighted and deleted and retyped. I have backspaced and deleted
and retyped. I have deleted just the wrong part of the address and retyped.
I have highlighted and cut and retyped.

I have also tried selecting the correct address from the drop down menu.

It always defaults to the wrong address with the w/e and sometimes it adds
and other w so it reads w/w/e

hope you can help.

One more thing that seems different. When I go to “file, publish” it always
open to a page that says click “remote web site properties to set up a
website” I don’t recall having to do that before. That takes me to a page
where they have the remote website options. That’s the page the default
address is in. I have been using remote front page or share point services
selection.

it takes me to the user name password screen. I type it in and it just wants
me to enter it again and again. When I click cancel i get no info (from the
other publishing option i could see the default address)

I checked my publishing log and it appears that on Sat 9/1 I did publish to
that goofy w/e address even though it doesn't exist.

thanks for your help. This website brings me business and i have hundreds of
cards out there with this address. I'd switch to a new host but I probably
can't publish a redirect page to get them from there to the new one
