Default Printer Settings being Lossed

Regardless of the user account, I cannot keep the default
printer settings. I use a mix of Win2000, XP, and 98
clients connecting to the Terminal Server. All printing
works great, but the user settings are lost every time the
user logs off. If the settings are made, they are kept
throughout the user session. Session ends, printer
settings are gone.

Any ideas? I am completely stumped.

Thank you very much for any help!

I found this on the TS FAQ at:
Q. How do I keep my printer settings (such as A4 paper) from being
lost every time I log off?

A. After making the printer setting change, be sure to wait at least
60 seconds before logging off or disconnecting. See Terminal Services
Printer Redirection Not Signaled on Change to Server-Side Device
Settings Tab (243942).
http://support.microsoft.com/default...B;EN-US;243942 Also,
be sure to wait for 60 seconds after the redirected printer is created
(after logon) before making your setting changes.

I had thought the very same thing, but after HOURS of
being logged into the system and performing other
functions, the settings are still being lost. That had
been my initial thought myself, but this problem has been
going on for more than a week with users being logged into
the system all day long and then losing their settings
whenever they log off at the end of the day.

Your suggestion was a great idea, and I should have
mentioned it in my earlier post that I had tried it. Do
you have another idea?

Thank you bunches for helping!!!
-Eric

Besides from waiting for 60 seconds, did you also make a change
somewhere else in the printer definitions, as explained in KB
243942?
