Default Printer setting

How can I determine the Default Printer setting from a
REGistry query or WMI.vbs extraction? Need a 'stand-alone'
method I can run from a batchfile script and via shortcut
launcher. Output 'DefaultPrinter name' to commandline,
redirected into a textfile and/or messagebox. Win2000 &
WinXP O.S. (I know how to extract all installed printers
into a textfile, but can't determine which one is set as
default.) Thank you for assistance.
