I have a situation where I have installed 5 printers on two laptops running
XP Pro (SP1) connected to our LAN using 802.11g cards. These printers were
installed by creating a Standard TCP/IP Port and given their respective IP
Addresses. I also created 5 user accounts and added them to the
Administrators' group. The problem I'm coming across is that 1 of the 5
printers remains the default printer even though I set a different printer as
the default in any of the 5 user accounts and also the Administrator's
account. It always reverts back to the printer that wants to remain the
default even when I logoff and logon; it also happens when I shutdown the
laptops and power them up. Now if I delete the default printer I can set the
other printers as the default printer in other accounts without the printers
reverting back to a single default printer, the problem is that I need the
printer that is giving me trouble. This problem occurs whether the laptops
are hard-wired to the LAN or communicating through the wireless adapters to
the LAN.

I hope the above information is clear and understandable. If not, I will be
more than happy to provide any other information.
I'm not sure what is going on and I'm looking for some help which would be
much appreciated.
