My client is using Outlook 2003. When she attempts to print a calendar page,
she cannot change from the default printer. It isn't grayed out. The
drop-down list can still be accessed, and another printer can be chosen. But
the printout still goes to the default printer no matter which printer is
selected.

I have seen a similar issue discussed in:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/821297

However, if my issue is related to this bug, I am not sure how I can work
around it.

did you try to change the default printer on the system (control panel /
printer and faxes) before sending the printout from outlook?
