I have an application containing a form which I have set up to print on #10
envelopes. I use a form rather than a report so there can be a large print
button and a large close button for the users' convenience. There is also a
button to open another form to print a certified mail green card. The
buttons display on screen only. Each time I issue a revised front-end and
copy it to the users' machines, the envelopes all print on letter size paper
until somebody goes to file/pagesetup and changes the default papersize for
the envelope. Track AutoNameCorrect is disabled. Does anyone have a
suggestion, or should I just live with the aggravation. It doesn't happen
all that often and there are only five users.

Thanks,

Mike Pippins

Mike

I think I had this problem and found that the default printer was set to
letter.
Access seemed to get its defaults from the printer settings.

Hope this helps

John,
Thanks for your response. I wouldn't want to reset the printer defaults.
After all, we co print more on letter size paper than on envelopes. Guess
I'll just grin and bear it.

Printer settings will always reset to default if access
can't find a matching printer driver.

So if you develop on a computer where the printer driver
has a different name, or version, then the printer settings
will reset.

Thank you for the information. Makes a certain amount of sense, although it
is an aggravation. Maybe they'll work on it in Redmond some day.
