Default Inbox or IMAP inbox?

I have Outlook 2003 and use both a POP and IMAP email account. The POP
account's emails go directly to the default inbox of Outlook, but the IMAP
(AOL) emails go to IMAP's inbox.

Is there any way to have all the mail arrive in the default inbox?

Sorry if I am reapeating this question but I looked all over and could not
find anything of the sort.

Thanks,

Tina

IMAP is server based so mail will always arrive to the server. What you see
as a local inbox is just a mirror of that server folder. You'd need a rule
to move messages from there to a local folder which could be problematic.

msbionik,
If you create a POP mail acct in Outlook using the server settings below,
messages that arrive in your AOL's Inbox will be downloaded into the Default
Inbox in Outlook. This will not download the messages that are in the AOL
default folders, or any folders that you have created in the AOL mail
application. You will be able to copy/move messages from the AOL IMAP
folders into folders that you have created in Outlook. Be aware unless you
set this acct to leave the messages on the server, your AOL IMAP Inbox
folder will be emptied every time you check mail with this POP mail acct.

In Outlook 2003: Similar process in other versions of Outlook.
In OUTLOOK> TOOLS> Email Accounts> Select Add New Account> Select POP3> use
the following server settings:
incoming mail server: pop.aol.com
outgoing mail server: smtp.aol.com

Fill in your AOL UserID and password, under acct information section

Then Select the More (Advance) Settings button> Select Advance tab> I use a
minimum of 5 mins for the timeout setting> Also set to have messages left on
Server, if you don't want the AOL Inbox to emptied when you check mail in
OUTLOOK..
