Default Format Style

I lost the original thread on this topic. Sorry.
For some reason Outlook has now decided to ignore the setting for my message
formats. When I select Format - Style all styles are unselected. This results
in the messages being formatted as double spaced. Is there somewhere in the
registry or elsewhere where the Normal style can be saved so Outlook doesn't
ignore the settings? This cropped up with the patch that came down last
summer.
