Just to elaborate on what Michael said, to go into the Slide master in
PowerPoint 200-2003, choose View > Master > Slide Master. To exit, click the
Close Master View button that appears in the slide master.
And to save as a template, choose File > Save As. From the Save as Type
drop-down list, choose Design Template (*.pot).
