I have FP 03, and it doesn't matter what my font in design mode is, in preview mode it is like times new roman ten no matter what.

I think I may have tinkered around with a setting. I know it's gotta be something simple, it's just by me right now.

Thanks,
M. Anderson

As you discovered, the default font only affects the design view. You can use that to check that you haven't forgotten to apply a font setting somewhere on the page, either directly or preferably with CSS.

You probably changed the default font setting in Tools,
Page Options, Default Fonts.

Unfortunately, this setting doesn't add any formatting to
your page(s). It only tells FrontPage what font the
browser will display in the absence of any CSS rules or
formatting tags.

Of course, if you tell FrontPage that the browser will
display, say, Ariel by default, then FrontPage will
display Ariel by default. But if the browser is still set
to display Times Roman, then you'll still get Times Roman
in the browser (or in Preview mode). And changing all
those browser configurations worldwide is a real chore.

To get the results you want, go again to Tools, Page
Options, Default Fonts and set Default Proportional Font
to Times New Roman. Then, follow the instructions at:

Controlling Fonts for an Entire Web Site
