I am using Access 2003 and 2007 and in both cases I can not find a way to
change the default font or font size so that it does NOT return to the
defaults upon reopening.
I would like to change the defaults for the Application not just the
file(s).
Can this be done?
Any help here will be appreciated.

Thanks in advance

Hi Dave

On my laptop I have changed the default to Arial 10 in the registry editior
for access as it V simple to change it now nd again if I need to.

Do this.

Close access
Start
Run
Type in REGEDIT (this will open the registry editor)
Go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Go to SOFTWARE
Go to MICROSOFT
Go to OFFICE
Go to the version number (I use 11 so I click / expand on 11)
Go ACCESS
Go to SETTINGS

In the right hand box change the "Default Font Name" to what you want by
right clicking and select "modify" then sort out the font.

You can do the same with the font size if you need.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the reply,
However after making the fix as you described when I open Access it appears
that Arial is the default however when I go to design view the font has
remained Tahoma.
Any way to change the default of the design view?

Thanks
D
