I have tried to change the default editor for windows picture and fax viewer
according to common postings regarding this. I navigate to:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\SystemFileAssociations\image\shell\edit\command and I am
told to change the default data to the file location for the program, in this
case the navigation changed to: "C:\Program Files\Jasc Software Inc\Paint
Shop Pro 9.exe" "%1" According to the instructions, this is correct
however I get the following error: "Windows cannot fine '(null)'. Make sure
you typed the name correctly"....etc. I am using Windows XP home sp2.
What am I doing wrong?

Article:

Change the default image editor
application, invoked from Windows
Picture and Fax Viewer
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/imgeditor.htm

I'm not running Paint Shop Pro so cannot
verify...but it sounds like you did it correctly.

However...I'm wondering about the path...
are you positive the executable is:
Paint Shop Pro 9.exe

Could it possibly be psp.exe?

Thank you. The small program worked where manual reg editing did not.

Hello! I successfully changed, like %systemroot% is marked, you should make the same with your other files. Go the same way, but put the next :

"%programfiles%\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Photoshop.exe" "%1"

If that's on your program files folder, just change the photoshop version ! For that you have! And DONE !
