I currently have two offices to admin. We are fixing to buy a new network
applicance that will allow us to have one central server for both offices.
Currently each office has it's own server but the Exchange server is in the
home office handling all email. Until now users have logged into their
respected domains and the email accounts have all be set up to get their
emails from the home office that has the Exchange server. My problem right
now is we have a manager that goes back and forth to each office. He has been
using a pc here and his default delivery location is set to C://etc. Now that
he is going back and forth do i need to configure something to make sure what
he does in one office (set calendar dates, appointements, tasks, etc) he will
be able to have that same information avaiable no matter what office he is (I
ask this because this company is fixing to expand into mulitple offices w/
managers in and out of each office)?

Can he not access his Exchange server from the other location?

Yes and he is downloading all his mail at the other location.

If he can access the Exchange server, why would he download?

I guess I used the wrong words......he is able to look at his emails at both
offices....but if he sets calendar dates or tasks at either location does
that save to the Exchange server?

My concern is as a System Admin what do I need to worry about on how to
handle multiple satellite offices that access the central server (home office
that has the Exchange Server) where users can and will be accessing Outlook
updating and changing either their task list, contact list, or changing their
calendars.....

As long as he's connected to his Exchange server, sure.

We do that where I work. We have multiple sites acound the world and we all
use a hosted Exchange environment. We all access the central server.
However, I'm not an Exchange admin, so I really can't say what cautions you
should heed. That's a question best asked in the Exchange newsgroups.
