I got an iPod for christmas (as did alot of ppl, I can tell) and it changed
all my audio files to be compatible with iTunes. But I was wondering if I
could still change those files back to work with Windows Media PLayer and
keep Windows Media Player as my default audio system? I'm extremely
frusterated and have no idea to go about doing this...

Apple - Support - iPod:
http://www.apple.com/support/ipod/

Please... Please... Go there and yell at them?

Anyhow, open WMP and see if you can change it in the options - tools >
options > file types > select all button (if you want) > click okay?

If not then contact Apple.

In iTunes: Edit --> Preferences --> Advanced
Make sure that "use iTunes as the default player for audio files" is unchecked.
After that, go to WMP, and set it as the default.
