Change the default Messages view template instead;
View-> Current View-> Define Views
The default is to sort by Date so you somehow must have modified this view
already. To quickly reset all the views at once, start Outlook with the
/cleanviews switch. Any modifications that you then make to the default
Messages view will be applied to all folders then.
Start-> Run; outlook.exe /cleanviews
(note the space in the command)
