A PowerPoint presentation with a graphic as a 'watermark' background prepared
on a Mac, when transferred to my PC, either by disc or memory stick, displays
the words "Quicktime TM and a decompressor are needed to see this picture"
where the picture shoud appear.

My PC has the latest version of Quicktime installed.

Can anyone please advise advise how these background pictures can be
displayed?

The most likely cause of this is that the creator copied and pasted the
pictures into PowerPoint. The way to view the pictures is for the
creator to re-insert the pictures by using Insert>Picture>From File.
