Having problems with the system all of a sudden going
into a decompressing mode. Automatically takes me out of
what I'm in at the time, no matter what it is. Gives
blank screen initially, then the cursor comes up and
holds for a few seconds. Finally a box appears at the
bottom left of the screen and the word "decompressing"
slowly spells out in the box. Afterwards, it finally
returns to the screen i was at when it started. Any help
would be appreciated...it's driving me nuts. Thanks to
all helpers but free beer for a year to the one that
solves it (just kiddin).

If you do not have any firewall enabled, then you better do
so now. The XP ICF will not stop trojans that are already
on your system from going out to the Internet. Also update
your AV and scan for viruses. Also make sure you are up
to date with XP critical updates. Also scan for spywares.
