I'm on xpsp1, and upgraded my aiw 8500dv driver and multi media.following
the sacha method. Went fine, but had a problem with the decoder. It wouldn't
install from the upgraded cd, following the process where you double click
the web download and then install the cd and exit it picking the choice "
install from ati". Since it seems the decoder hasn't been upgraded lately, I
just t did an custon install of the decoder alone from the cd and then
installed ver 9.0 multi media center. No problem. My question is this. Is
the decoder download indeed fairly old. I installed ver 2.1.0.1 from the cd
since i couldn't execute the web download aticdwiz-v2.1 exe. What bothers me
is I seem to recall having ver 2.2 before. Is this possible and does it make
any difference? Thanks.

all i have is 2.1, I doubt it makes a diff.
