So here comes my next problem, this sure is a never ending story. I
have read all lines in the XML and stored them in 2 new databases in
Access.

How do I access them? Do I need to use DAO, if that’s the case how do
I declare DAO in Access?

DAO library should be "selected" by default in the ACCESS database (only one
where this is not true is ACCESS 2002, I believe).

To answer your question about "how do I access them?", that depends upon how
you want to access them. Normally, one would use queries in the ACCESS
database to read the data. So, for us to provide more detailed suggestions,
please elaborate on what you want to do.

Actually, no, it was A2000 that didn't use it. Databases created in
A2000 had the ADO reference by default and no DAO reference. I think
A2002 added both, but I never used it enough to get a feel for that.
