Forgive a basic question - I am new to Excel.

All my numbers come out with two decimal places. E.g. I enter 1234 and it
appears as 12.34

There must be a way of changing this setting, but I can't find it.

Terry

Tools>Options>Edit. Uncheck "fixed decimal places"

Useful only if you wish to divide all new entries by a specific number.
