How have you linked the Excel data to the graph? Did you link the data to
the graph datasheet? If so, that's probably not the best way.
You should generally have better luck if you create the graphs in Excel and
then copy the graph, and in PPT, use Edit|Paste Special to get it into PPT.
On the Paste Special dialog box, choose Excel Chart Object and click Paste
Link to create a link to your source Excel file.
Otherwise, check the number format in your PPT MS Graph chart -- does it
specify the number of decimals you want?
I don't know how you can resolve the hidden columns issue. Double-clicking
the column/row hides the data in PPT, but since Excel uses an actual "hide"
option that PPT's graph doesn't have, I don't think there's an easy way
around that. Probably there's some VBA code you could use, but I'd think
linking to the Excel chart as described above would work and be easier to
deal with.
