Thank you everyone for your attempts to help me out.
It is more important for me to get this project done, than it is to figure
out how to do it myself, and am feeling like an idiot at this point.

I need a recommendation on which program to purchase. Here is my list of
requirements:

1. Must be search engine friendly. (Do not want to build an additional
static html page for search engine optimization, already have to do that for
a Miva store I own, and it is a pain everytime I change things).
2. Must be an add-on to FrontPage 2003, so it interfaces without a lot of
work.
3. Must be designed for an idiot to use, since that must be what I am.
4. Cost - prefer it to be less than $50. And not have a site licensing set
up, since it would be nice to add it into my site as well as my spouses I am
building.

Please send me email at linda "at" corsetsandcostumes.com
please substitute the @ sign for "at"...

Thank you for any help.

None of them will meet this requirement. All of them (of which I am aware)
embed the actual links in the javascript. At the least, you will need to
duplicate all of those links in plain HTML on each page to achieve SE
friendliness.

Shazam.

I don't think so.

I think I remember Jon Spivey perfected a layers and behaviors script that
he said was fine with the SEs

Linda,

FYI, when you ask for people to give you advice like this in newsgroups,
it's generally considered a faux pas to then ask them to e-mail it to you.
What you're saying in doing that is "I would like for you to do some work
for me, but I'm not willing to take the effort to revisit the group to get
your response." Just a friendly piece of advice.

I would seriously consider looking at DHTML Menu Builder. I did a roundup
of many packages to do this (including one that integrates into FrontPage),
and DHTML Menu Builder was an excellent choice. It is quite easy to
integrate it with a FrontPage Web site, and generating an HTML site map for
search engines is an easy and quick one-step process.

Another HUGE benefit to DHTML Menu Builder is that the developer, Xavier, is
a kind and competent individual. I always recommend to people that they do
business with people they can trust. You can trust Xavier.

Thanks for the input. I wasn't actually asking for help without the trouble
of checking back. I was thinking if it was emailed to me, people might be
more honest in their comments and it would not start a discussion on this
thread about who's whatsit, is better than anothers whatsit...Sorry I was
misinterpretted and it won't happen again.

I looked at DHTML Menu Builder and it looks really slick, but it is outside
of my budget right now.

Thanks for your help though

there's several versions of it (varying cost), I think there's a trial of it too...since I have it on my machine and I know I didn't buy it.

I went back to look at DHTML Menu Builder and dl'd the demo program, and it
is so simple to use and is a really powerful program. discovered that the
licensing agreement was not as bad as I first thought. If there is one user,
then you can use it on multiple websites... thought the cost was per website.
I then discovered I had enough in my Paypal account to buy it...and that is
what I did.

Thanks everyone for your advice and comments.

if it's the one from FX you'll find that if you ever need help the owner
Xavier is a 110% stand-up guy.
