Curious, new problem has started. Evey once in a whle a new folder appears on
my desktop labeled "debug"..The folder is empty and I do not know how it is
formed or why..Does someone know the cause of this and a remedy so it does
not appear again

Is "Disable script debugging" UNchecked in Control Panel > Internet
Options > Advanced settings for both Internet Explorer and Other ?
If they are, put a check next to both, click Apply, OK.
