anne,
You state that emails to Symantec have been undelivered and additionally their website is frustrating to use, but you are still considering buying their product. Is there anything wrong with this picture? Wouldn't it make sense to buy some other product where you can get reasonable support? I have also got to uninstall system works 2000 /reinstall system work 2004 !

Since many seem to be having problems with Norton Antivirus2004, why don't
you consider using the one year free trial offer from MS. It includes the antivirus and firewall, free of charge. Then when Norton 2005 comes out, you can make a choice,. It is available on the MS site to download or you can just order their Critical Update CD which still ships the Securtiy CD. No cost to you, even for shipping. Check out the MS site. Very difficult to find anything using search engine Buffalo Any chance of posting URL link to MS Update CD ??
