Hi Everyone.

I'm testing the default dead gateway (DeadGWDetectDefault)
on windows 2000.

I have a dummy gateway (doesn't exist).
A gateway 1 (router)
A gateway 2 (sonic)

On a W2K box, I have set up the dummy gateway as the
default, then I added gateway 2(sonic) with metric of 5.
Everything works fine with the first test. Windows
switches over to the second gateway with no problem and
when surfing the net everything is pretty fast.
The problem comes when I do he test with gateway 1
(router). I delete gateway 2(sonic), and added gateway 1.
The default is still dummy gateway. In this test Windows
takes a real long time to display the page and sometimes I
get a page cannot be display. When I look at the data from
a packet capture I see icmp redirect. Is this the cause
for the pages taking long to display?

Any comments will be appreciated
