I just recently bought a new HP Laptop. It is brand new so I expected it to
not have many problems so I was wondering if it has to do with Windows Vista.
Very often I will go to open a page on internet explorer or just open a
program on my desktop but it won't work. I can click however many times I
want to on it, but it just won't work. The strange thing is that it seems
that when I close one of the programs thats already running, it can then open
a new program. I thought that this may be a virus but I've run norton scans
numerous times and it has not found any viruses. Please help!

Hi Chris,

Disable/Uninstall the Norton software and see if the problem goes away. If
it does (and I suspect it will), find a different AV solution - there are
plenty that don't bugger a system the way Symantec does (and to be fair, it
stopped being "Norton" software 10 years ago).
