I am a new user to 2007 and when workin in a document, the strike through is
automaically set. if I try to delete text, the word(s) only get a strike
through. I have de-selected it on the tool bar but it won't go away. Any help?

It sounds like you have your Track Changes turned on. Turn it off and see if
that makes it go away.

I hope this helps.
