DDEExecute doesn't leave other application fronted in Access 2007

I'm using DDEExecute to switch to another application (Clarify) from Access
and then calling a function in Clarify that opens a case. Clarify should
then be the "fronted" application. Before upgrading from Access 2003 to
Access 2007 this worked fine. Now, when the DDEExecute method executes in
Access 2007 it makes the call in Clarify, which opens the case, but then the
focus returns to Access instead of staying on Clarify. How do I keep the
focus on Clarify after making the DDEExecute call from Access 2007?
