Can anyone tell me the sytax for a simple link to a cell in another excel
file on the c drive ? Not for visual basic but the formula for a spreadsheet
cell. I used to know it but haven't used it in years.

ORLANDO V,

There is nothing simple about that.

Just open both source and destination files. In the destination file in any
cell, type an equal sign, switch to the source file, pick a cell and hit
enter. Now close the source file and look at the formula in the cell in the
destination file.

HTH,

Conan
