I'd suggest running other scans (both antivirus and antispyware) before doing
anything else. Multiple scans with different products will ensure that you
get everything.
Then, don't forget the rootkits - scanning for them is important also!
Finally, the removal may have damaged some Windows files - a good way to
repair this is a repair install of XP:
