I continually get DCOM errors at start up. There are eight events in my last
boot up. They seem to be the same. I copied the trail of info here. I
follow the instructions to change the launch and activation permissions but I
get lost when I open the DCOM configuration in Administrative tools because I
can’t figure out the “friendly name”. Could someone please help me resolve
this issue?

I am getting errors after loading service pack 3. (windows
root)\system32\hal.dll.

I can not get the system to reboot. Windows XP was pre loaded on the machine
so I don't have the disk. Any suggestions? When I called Microsoft they
directed to to post a blog because they can't help.
