DCOM error ... Communication protocols

I have a "DCOM was unable to communicate with the
computer 10.10.10.10 using any of the configured
protocols." error (Not real IP) which appears every 3 min
in "System" in "Event Viewer." The error is referring to
an IP printer on the network.
The Printer works just fine, and Is set up to use TCP/IP
as it's primary communications protocol. I have - in
vain - enabled it to use a netbios name in hope of
alleviating this error. It only surfaced after I applied
an update from the MS Updates site. (I don't recall which
one - i did a whole stack in one go)

Any solutions welcome - I will try and then post my
results!
