The DNS zones in a single DC network have disappeared.
When you open the DNS and look at the Forward and Reverse
zones they both show: Add a New Zone.

1. Everything appears to be working fine in the domain,
and all tests passed using Netdiag and DCDiag.

2. The only DNS server address in the TCP/IP properties
is it's own address. All Internet DNS servers are in the
Forwarders.

Anybody have an idea of what may have happened?

The zone is AD-integrated and "somebody" accidentally deleted it from one
server. That's the only situation where I've seen "DNS disappear-oo"
