Good Afternoon!

Sorry my english! My network has two Win2k Server DC. When i try to promove
a Win2k3 server to DC , that replay me the following message:

An Active Directory domain controller for the domain lda.bna.ao colud not
be contacted.

Ensure that the DNS domain name is typed correctly.

If the name is correct, then click Details for troubleshooting information.

Then i click in Details and that replay the following:

The following error occurred when DNS was queried for the service location
(SRV) resource record used to locate a domain controller for domain
lda.bna.ao:

The error was: "DNS name does not exist."

(error code 0x0000232B RCODE_NAME_ERROR)

The query was for the SRV record for _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.lda.bna.ao

Common causes of this error include the following:

- The DNS SRV records required to locate a domain controller for the domain
are not registered in DNS. These records are registered with a DNS server
automatically when a domain controller is added to a domain. They are
updated by the domain controller at set intervals. This computer is
configured to use DNS servers with following IP addresses:

195.8.16.29

172.20.0.14

172.20.0.17

172.20.1.208

172.20.1.4

- One or more of the following zones do not include delegation to its child
zone:

lda.bna.ao

bna.ao

ao

.. (the root zone)

For information about correcting this problem, click Help.

That IP for list of IP Address: 195.8.16.29, is strange. eu n sei de onde é
as maquinas vão buscar este IP.

How can solve this????

Aquele Abraço

Make sure the server you are trying to promote uses only the current DC for
DNS. It cannot point to itself until it has been promoted and the zone has
replicated to it. Never use an ISP or external DNS in TCP/IP properties, on
any member of an AD domain.
