Hello

With Xp Pro I did a fresh install on a new computer. My last task for
this user was to setup OE6. I created the account ; inbox, then
download mail from the mail server.

I have on a backup harddrive (no read only attributes) the message
folders (dbx files).
I copied these dbx files into the store directory.
I opened OE6. Only the Inbox was present ; though the store directory
is full of dbx files.
I deleted the store directory.
In OE6 I did an import. The only folder there for import was Inbox.
I deleted the account. I deleted the store dbx files.
I created new, the account, and it made no difference if I did a copy
and paste into the Outlook Express directory ; or import ; I never was
able to retrieve all those dbx files.

What is perplexing is I do this OE6 routine at least weekly as I keep
upgrading our users from windows 2000 to Xp.

I just finished up with one user’s fresh OE6 on a new Xp machine with
the copy and paste of the dbx files into store directory, no troubles;
and on this second new computer only Inbox dbx is available.

Is there a fix for this?
Totally stuck.
Thanks
