daylight saving change causes times of appointments to change

Last winter (when my state was using standard time) I made
some entries into my calendar. After the change to
daylight savings time, many (all?) of these time changed to
one hour later, i.e., the time that they would have been on
standard time. What's wrong? Thanks.
