Datestamp - trouble with language

I'm a danish user of FP 2003 DK. When using 'Insert Date', the webbot is
shown correctly in the format I choose: 11. maj 2005 – this goes for both
Design Mode and Example Mode in FP as well as in my browser. But when files
with the bot are uploaded to server, the format of date changes to be shown
in English: 11. May 2005. Well, this can be understood, of course, but it
doesn't look well.

And now I'm here: does it matter much, whether I define charset as 'ISO
8859-2' or 'WIN 1252'? All of my pages are in Danish, occasionally quotes
etc. in English – and I don't expect this to change. Could there be any
benefit from using 'UTF-8'?

Anyone who can help on these matters?

It is based on the date from the server, which is dependent on the server's actual location.

Thanks for your answer, Thomas! The webhotel, I'm using, has filials in
Denmark, Germany, England and Netherlands – and the servers can be just
anywhere in the world...

Maybe I'll just have to live with this English date – or type it manually!

Then, come to think of it, Thomas: for years I've used a plein HTML-editor
called WebWriter, which has a similar datestamp function – and there was
never this problem with the format of date, though the webhotel has been the
same in recent years. So, whereever the servers are located physically, I
believe it must be a question of sofware, plug-ins or the like?

However is sound like your site is hosted on a UK server.

FP uses the date from the machine you are working on, so your local machine is correct, but the
server is in a different timezone, so it will show that date.

But surely there must be a way of compensating for this?

Well, since you're so sure, please let us know what it is.
