-I opened a doc that had dates in it, i used a format to change the dates to
how I wanted them to display, that worked fine, saved the doc, uploaded it to
my program and it put a very different date then what I had entered, still in
date form but instead of the date i put in it inserted 05-20-40. I found this
out when I went in and checked my program I had uploaded the info into. I was
quite surprised to say the least, went back and checked my excel file and
again was quite surprised to find that the field now all held #s like 40150.
HELP!!! I uploaded a couple hundred files that now all have the wrong dates
in several places. This is a procedure I do several times a day and I have
never had this happen before. Any enlightenment would be most appreciated.

Your dates are probably O.K. It looks like the display format got lost. the
value 40150 is actually 3 December 2009.

Just re-format the cells to you liking.
